14th National Open Shotokan Karate-Do Championship 2018

Talukdars Academy of "SHOTOKAN KARATE-DO" having its DOJO (Training Class) at Samay/MDF Office, sent 6 Karateka (Karate Learners) who participated and successfully won a total of 5 Gold Medals and 2 Bronze Medals in
"14th National Open Shotokan Karate-Do Championship 2018"
organised by Shotokan Ryu Karate-Do Shiseikan. The Championship was held at Thane Jilha Koli Samaj Hall, Thane (W), Maharashtra.

The Karate Girl of Malwani, Miss Omera Talukdar (Aged 13 yrs.) of Talukdars Academy of "SHOTOKAN KARATE-DO" at Samay & Mumbai Development Foundation Office, participated and successfully won a Gold Medal in Kumite (Fight) and a Silver Medal in Kata (Forms) during
"22nd All Maharashtra Open Karate Championship 2018"
organised by ASSKA & Nehru Yuva Kendra (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports) held at R.B. Pathare Stadium, Khardi, Pune.

SKYA - All India Open Karate Championship 2018

Once again “SHOTOKAN
KARATEDO” of Talukdars Academy of Martial Art Sports and Youth Welfare at SAMAY
& MDF Office, participated in
"All India Open Karate Championship 2018"
organised by Shotokan Karate Youth Association (SKYA) at Dahisar Sports Foundation, Dahisar (East).
Talukdars Academy of "Shotokan Karatedo" sent 4
participants (Jannah Talukdar – F 19 yrs, Omera Talukdar – F 13 yrs, Junainah
Talukdar – F 8 yrs, Akhtar Talukdar – M 42 yrs) in the Tournament who bagged 5
gold medals, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.
Besides Age category event of Kumite (Fight)
and Kata (Forms), there was an Open Challenge KATA Championship in which one of
the participant Akhtar Talukdar won the 2nd Place - KATA Championship
Cup 2018.

at Andheri Sports Club, Andheri.

Karate Training Method
A training method to prepare yourself from unexpected attacks from anyside..
In this training, the learner Karateka is made to stand in middle and the attackers are arranged surrounding the learner. When the Sensei (Teacher) says Hajime (Begin), then the attacker start attacking the front punch in Jodaan or Chudaan..... randomly from any side. The learner have to use the blocking technique whichever comes in mind first to block the punch quickly and after blocking use counter attack with a punch.
The attackers attack randomly from any side... so the learner has to be careful and quick in responding the attack.
Quite sweating method of training.... Isn't it? but keep in mind :-
"The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle."
